Comparative Analysis Reflection
The goal of the comparative analysis was to compare 3 of the 5 sources found in the annotated bibliography assignment. These sources had to be different genres so that we were able to compare how things such as the word choice and audience differed between the genres. This assignment was very useful for me. It taught me the difference between genres and how each one has an important place in my paper. For example, my educational article is filled with important facts. These facts will become the backbone of my paper. The blog will offer opinions and explain experimental solutions to the problem in my paper. These different genres have given me experience with important, useful tools in writing a research paper. I had not thought about using different genres previously. The rhetorical analysis we did earlier in the quarter helped me to analyze these sources. This assignment has provided me with practice on analyzing literature in a more abstract way. This will aid me in completing our final assignment, as well as any other analyzing in other courses.
